Navigating the Highly Competitive Renewable Energy Landscape

Green Energy public relations is an important consideration for today’s forward-thinking companies. No matter who you are in the realm of renewables – a manufacturer, developer, service company or someone announcing new sustainability initiatives – you face fierce competition for attention, support, new business and more.

Developers, in particular, face intense competition for land, as well as stronger and increasingly savvy opposition to their overall projects.

Relevant Experience / Green Energy Public Relations Clients

American Solar Energy Society (ASES):

We managed all PR for the 40th Annual National Solar Conference of of the American Solar Energy Society (ASES), (case study). We helped ASES gain significant media coverage, forge relationships with several national environmental organizations and relevant trade unions, and boost attendance.

E.ON Climate & Renewables (later RWE Renewables):

We worked closely with the world’s fourth-largest renewable energy company for more than two years. In our work helping RWE Renewables (case study) develop wind farms in North America, we created and executed strategic plans; boosted community engagement and support; crafted a wide variety of collateral and direct mail; wrote, produced and placed magazine, newspaper, radio and billboard advertisements; created and managed four, project-specific websites; proactively managed media and community relations; and much more.

Scout Clean Energy

We recently created and executed a detailed strategy to build a large network of individuals, companies, associations, and other contacts who work with or are owners of large plots of land (1,000+ acres). The goal was to identify and negotiate lease agreements with owners of viable lands for wind, solar and battery storage projects. Our work for Scout Clean Energy (case study coming) included securing podcast appearances, feature article placements, many new and valuable alliances, attendance at The National Land Investment Conference and The RLI’s National Land Conference, building a network of nearly 50 referral sources, identifying several viable land owners and their properties, and much more.
